At Hormozi Coffee, we want our customers to feel confident about the products they buy from us. We want them to know that we are dedicated to responsible sourcing and ethical practises.

Coffee, tea and related products often pass through long and complex supply chains before they reach your cup. That is why we take care when choosing the suppliers we work with. We do not simply buy from anyone. We review our suppliers, request supporting documents where appropriate, and keep supplier records on file so that we can supply our customers with greater confidence.

Our approach is simple: work with reputable suppliers, check the information behind the products we buy, and build long-term relationships with businesses that take quality, safety, ethics and responsibility seriously.

How We Choose Our Suppliers

Before working with a supplier, we carry out an onboarding process. This helps us understand who they are, what they supply, how they operate, and what standards they work to ensure responsible sourcing.

As part of this process, we may ask suppliers to provide information such as:

We keep this information on file as part of our supplier approval records.

This does not mean we personally audit every farm, estate or factory in every supply chain. It means we take a practical, evidence-based approach to supplier approval and work with businesses that can demonstrate the standards we expect.

Product Safety and Quality

Food safety and product quality are central to our supplier approval process.

Where relevant, we ask suppliers for documents that show they have suitable food safety and quality systems in place. This may include recognised food safety standards, quality management systems, audit certificates, product specifications, traceability records or other supporting documents.

These checks help us make sure that the products we buy are safe, legal, properly handled and suitable for our customers.

Product Authenticity

We want customers to be able to trust what is written on the bag.

That means product descriptions, origins, ingredients and product information must be accurate. We ask suppliers to confirm that the products they provide are genuine, correctly represented and not adulterated, substituted or mislabelled.

Where needed, we may request further supporting evidence from a supplier before approving a product or product description.

Ethical Trading

We expect our suppliers to act responsibly and treat people fairly.

When reviewing suppliers, we look for evidence that they take ethical trading seriously. This may include policies or standards covering fair working conditions, human rights, health and safety, worker welfare, discrimination, exploitation, child labour, forced labour and modern slavery.

We know that international food and agricultural supply chains can be complex. That is why we prefer to work with established suppliers who can demonstrate their own standards and provide supporting documentation where needed.

Environmental Responsibility

Other than responsible sourcing, we are also committed to our environmental responsibility when reviewing suppliers.

Where available, we review environmental or sustainability policies from our suppliers. These may include commitments around waste reduction, recycling, responsible materials, energy use, carbon reduction, biodiversity or sustainable farming practices.

We believe progress is made through practical steps, not empty claims. Our focus is on working with suppliers who can show they are taking their responsibilities seriously.

Anti-Fraud and Traceability

We ask suppliers to maintain appropriate traceability for the products they supply to us.

This means that where a question arises, we can request further information about the product, its origin, batch, handling or supply route.

We also use supplier anti-fraud controls to help protect against product substitution, adulteration, misrepresentation and incorrect product information.

For customers, this means extra reassurance that we are not simply taking product information at face value.

Business Integrity

We expect suppliers to conduct business honestly and transparently.

Where relevant, we review policies covering anti-bribery, anti-corruption, legal compliance and responsible business conduct. We also request insurance and other business documents where appropriate.

These checks help us work with suppliers who take their responsibilities seriously, both to us and to the wider supply chain.

Ongoing Review

Supplier approval is not a one-off exercise.

We keep supplier records on file and may request updated documents when policies, documents or supplier details change, when new products are supplied, or when further evidence is needed.

If a supplier is unable to meet our expectations, we may request corrective action, pause purchasing, remove a product from sale, or stop working with that supplier.

What This Means for Our Customers

When you buy from Hormozi Coffee, we want you to know that care has gone into the products behind the scenes.

Our supplier assurance process helps us:

We are not perfect, and we will always continue improving. But our commitment to responsible sourcing is clear: to supply good products from suppliers we have checked, reviewed and approved with care.
