What started two generations ago as a small dream—just a father, a hand-me-down roaster, and a deep love for good coffee—grew into something we could have never imagined: a family-run roastery that’s proudly served our community for decades. Every bag of coffee, every roast, every early morning grind wasn’t just a job. It was our story. Our heritage. Our way of connecting with people.

For the past twenty years, we’ve run our business right here in Kent. It’s more than where we work—it’s our home. We’ve built strong relationships with local suppliers, loyal customers, and a community that’s supported us every step of the way. We feel deeply rooted here, part of a shared story that means everything to us.

But on April 25th, 2025, that story was suddenly interrupted.

A devastating fire tore through our beloved roastery, reducing it to ashes in just a few hours. Equipment, inventory, records—decades of work gone in a single, heartbreaking moment. You can see the full story and drone footage shared by ITV Meridian , Kent Online and BBC Kent.

We are heartbroken—but we are not broken.

From the moment the fire was out, we knew one thing: we had to keep going. We used the last of our company reserves to secure new green coffee stock—which is already on its way—because we believe in our future, in our team, and in our community.

We’re currently working with our insurer, but as many small businesses know, this process is complicated and time-consuming. In the meantime, our customers—many of them independent businesses themselves—need coffee now. And our team—our two apprentices and full-time employee—need jobs now. They’re more than our staff. They’re like family.

That’s why we’re asking for your help.

We’re not raising money for the long-term rebuild; insurance will eventually cover that. What we urgently need is support to get back on our feet right now. Your donation will help us:
