I bit the bullet and went for the 1kg without trying it before as it’s much more cost effective. I’m glad I did as this is a nice coffee. I have black coffee, no sugar or milk and it’s good as an early morning coffee. I smell chocolate rather than caramel. Although it tastes good, I find for me, it’s missing something. Texture wise, I find it full-bodied.
This review is coming from me just finishing a 250g bag of light roast with barely any flavour and body like water.
Overall, it’s a really good coffee and would recommend trying it!

taste is nice and smooth. with hints of smoke but I find this a very light coffee. great for those who dont need caffeine or a heavy morning coffee.

I agree with the previous reviewer (A. Chouhan) that this blend is “missing something”. I also have it as a black coffee without milk or sugar, brewed in a cafetiere. I find that it tastes a little “dull” or “flat” in comparison with the Spanish House Blend, which is my favourite and is ideal for breakfast. The Spanish House Blend is superb and costs less so I have returned to that one!

I am working my way through the various blends, tried Trial by fire, and am very impressed with how smooth it is. 16 gms, 2:1 latte. Definitely coming back for more while it lasts.
