Description

The Geisha Discovery Box

Three Origins. Three Expressions. One Rare Tasting Experience.

Explore the world’s most celebrated coffee variety with a curated selection of single-origin Geishas from Colombia and Guatemala.

Geisha is not simply rare. It is revered.

Renowned for its florals, clarity and refined sweetness, the Geisha varietal is defined by elegance rather than intensity, structure rather than weight. The Geisha Discovery Box brings together three distinct terroirs, allowing you to experience how altitude, origin and processing shape flavour in the cup.

What’s Included:

Each box contains one of each coffee:

  • Colombia Geisha – El Refugio

  • Colombia Geisha – Rodrigo Oyuela

  • Guatemala Finca El Platanillo – Geisha

Available In:

  • 3 x 125g

  • 3 x 250g

  • 3 x 1kg

Designed for comparison. Crafted for those who want to taste beyond the ordinary.

What Makes Geisha Different

Geisha is recognised for:

  • Floral aromatics

  • Tea-like clarity

  • Structured acidity

  • Refined sweetness

  • Long, clean finish

Unlike heavier-bodied varieties, Geisha rewards careful brewing and precision extraction. It performs exceptionally well in filter brewing and delivers a refined, complex espresso when dialled with care.

The Coffees

Colombia Geisha – Rodrigo Oyuela
Chaparral, Tolima

Origin: Colombia
Region: Chaparral, Tolima
Process: Washed
Altitude: 1000–1800 metres
Harvest: January–June
Varietal: Geisha
Flavour Notes: Peach, Brown Sugar

From the mountainous region of Chaparral, Tolima, this washed Geisha highlights clarity and sweetness.

The washed process emphasises precision in the cup. Expect delicate peach acidity layered with soft brown sugar sweetness. The body is light yet structured, finishing clean and polished.

This coffee showcases Geisha’s subtle florals without overpowering fruit intensity.

Best suited for:

  • V60

  • Kalita

  • Aeropress

  • Light roast espresso

Colombia Geisha – El Refugio
Ciudad Bolívar, Antioquia

Origin: Colombia
Region: Ciudad Bolívar, Antioquia
Farm: El Refugio
Process: Washed
Altitude: 1750–2050 metres
Harvest: January–June
Varietal: Geisha
Flavour Notes: Apricot, Rose, Honey

Grown at elevations reaching 2050 metres, El Refugio represents classic high-grown Colombian Geisha.

Higher altitude slows cherry development, increasing aromatic complexity and acidity structure. In the cup, expect vibrant apricot, lifted rose florals and flowing honey sweetness that lingers long after the final sip.

This is the most floral and aromatic coffee within the Discovery Box — a benchmark expression of the variety.

Best suited for:

  • Pour over

  • Chemex

  • Precision filter brewing

  • Showcase espresso

Guatemala Finca El Platanillo – Geisha
San Marcos, Guatemala

Origin: Finca El Platanillo
Region: San Marcos
Country: Guatemala
Process: Natural
Altitude: 1450 metres
Harvest: November–April
Varietal: Geisha
Flavour Notes: Floral, Blueberry, Pineapple

From San Marcos, this natural-processed Geisha provides a distinct contrast to the washed Colombian lots.

Natural processing allows the fruit to dry on the cherry, intensifying sweetness and fruit character. Expect expressive blueberry and pineapple layered over floral aromatics, with a fuller mouthfeel and rounded finish.

This coffee demonstrates how processing dramatically alters the Geisha profile, adding depth and fruit-driven complexity.

Best suited for:

  • Filter

  • Aeropress

  • Fruit-forward espresso

A Comparative Tasting Experience

The Geisha Discovery Box allows you to explore:

  • Washed vs natural processing

  • Colombian vs Guatemalan terroir

  • 1450m vs 2050m altitude influence

  • Floral-led vs fruit-driven expression

Brew them side by side. Cup them blind. Compare aroma, acidity, sweetness and finish.

This is not simply three premium coffees. It is a structured tasting journey through one of the world’s most celebrated varieties.
