Description
Hormozi Coffee UK is proud to present our Chardwar Black Tea — a premium, organically grown loose leaf black tea from one of the world’s most celebrated tea-producing regions. Grown in the lush, climatically unique landscapes of Assam in Northeast India, where hot and humid summers give way to cool winters, this tea carries the unmistakable character of its extraordinary origins in every cup. Bold, spicy, and deeply malty with a rich reddish-brown infusion, it is the kind of tea that commands attention from the very first sip — and delivers the natural caffeine kick to match.
Carefully harvested from organically controlled Assam tea gardens and packed at the tea factory in northern Germany, each batch is handled with precision to preserve the full depth and aroma of this exceptional Indian black tea. Whether enjoyed as a powerful morning brew or a bold afternoon pick-me-up, our Chardwar is a tea that earns its place as a daily staple for any serious tea lover.
The Ingredients
Black Tea — Sourced from the finest organically grown gardens of Assam, this full-leaf black tea is rich in antioxidants, flavonoids, and natural caffeine — supporting heart health, mental alertness, and sustained energy, all wrapped in a bold, spicy-malty flavour that is uniquely and unmistakably Assam.
How to Brew the Perfect Cup
- Heat Your Water — Bring water to 90–95°C (194–203°F). Assam black tea is robust and benefits from near-boiling water to fully unlock its depth, malt, and spice.
- Measure Your Tea — Use one heaped teaspoon (approximately 2.5g) per 200ml of water. Adjust to taste — more for a bolder, darker brew.
- Add to Your Infuser — Place the leaves into a loose leaf infuser or strainer, giving the full leaves room to unfurl and infuse properly.
- Steep — Pour hot water over the leaves and steep for 3–5 minutes. For a bright, lively cup, pull at 3 minutes; for the full malty depth Assam is known for, go closer to 5.
- Remove and Enjoy — Remove the infuser and enjoy as is, or add a generous splash of milk for a classic, full-bodied builder’s brew. A touch of sugar or honey complements the natural malt beautifully.
Pro Tip: Assam pairs exceptionally well with a hearty breakfast — its bold, brisk character cuts through rich foods and stands up beautifully to milk, making it a perfect everyday morning tea.
