A Fresh Start: ITV Meridian Visits Our Reopened Roastery
The past few months have been a rollercoaster for us – both as a family and as a business. When the fire hit, we were heartbroken. The roastery isn’t just a place where we roast beans – it’s where our passion, community spirit, and love for coffee come alive. Seeing it damaged was one of the hardest challenges we’ve faced.
But now, after weeks of hard work and determination, our roastery has been back up and running for a few weeks – and it feels incredible to finally be able to thank the people who supported us in the best way we know how: with fresh coffee! ☕🔥
ITV Meridian Came to Celebrate with Us
To mark this exciting new chapter, we were overjoyed to welcome Joe Coshan and the ITV Meridian team to our roastery. Our master roaster, Rubin, gave Joe a behind-the-scenes tour of our newly restored setup and even brewed some of our smooth decaf to share.
Rubin summed it up perfectly:
“After everything that’s happened, just hearing the roaster fire up again gave me goosebumps. Sharing that first batch with everyone – it felt like we’d found our rhythm again.”
It was a wonderful moment to reflect on how far we’ve come – and to share a few laughs along the way. You can watch the full ITV catch-up by following this link.

Stronger as a Family
Before the fire, we were already a close-knit family, working side by side and sharing our passion for coffee every single day. But going through this challenge together – rebuilding, supporting one another, and refusing to give up – has brought us even closer. It’s strengthened not only our business but also the heart behind everything we do.

Here’s to New Beginnings
We’ve been overwhelmed by the love and encouragement from our community. As one of the family said the day we reopened:
“When everything stopped, it felt like we’d lost a part of ourselves. But the messages from all of you kept us going. To be back doing what we love, for the people who love our coffee – it’s something we’ll never take for granted again.”
Here’s to fresh starts, perfectly roasted beans, and brighter days ahead.
